Nose - Juicy notes of grapefruit and freshly cut grass, with a hint of anis.
Taste - Crisp, but mellow finish with a vibrant energy behind it.

This sake is "umakuchi," which is a perfect balance between sweet and dry with layers of umami. Yamadanishiki used for this sake was grown right outside of the brewery. "Muroka" means Sake without charcoal finning process.
Kawatsuru has a woman toji master brewer, Miki Fujioka. The president also has two children, both girls, so the future president will be a woman as well. Kawatsuru is very popular in their hometown of Kagawa, and one of their most popular sakes is their “iriko-zake,” steeped with local sardines for drinking warm.
