High-altitude 750-850m sustainably grown Organic 70% Monastrell harvested end October & 30% Tempranillo early September
sourced from dry-farmed 25–35-year-old bush and trellised vines from select nutrient poor, limestone-rich plots. Maceration & fermentation of each variety separately during 3-4 weeks at 27-28°C.
Vibrant, deep colour, rich aromas of red summer fruit, cassis, sage.
Well-polished juicy tannins, intense silky fruit forward finish. Perfect with BBQs, rice & pasta dishes, jamon, chorizo & cured cheeses.
Having pioneered winemaking in Almansa for more than 100 years, in 2017, Piqueras acquired a 280 hectare estate, Finca El Vinculo, located around the natural environment of Almansa’s dam. Certified as ‘Organic’ amongst almond and olive trees and a Mediterranean low forest, these vineyards have the perfect characteristics, high altitude (750-850m), scarce rainfall and nutrient poor, limestone rich
soils, for the cultivation of Organic grapes.
